Comedian Raju Srivastava's final journey is about to begin in a short time. His funeral procession will be taken out from Dasarathpur, Dwarka in Delhi. The last rites will be held at Nigambodh Ghat in Delhi. Raju finally passed away on 21 September at the age of 58 after being on a ventilator for more than a month and a half. He suffered a heart attack while exercising on August 10, after which he was admitted to AIIMS Delhi for 42 days. His condition stabilized during treatment. His condition suddenly worsened yesterday.
Apart from relatives, many relatives, politicians and celebrities are also reaching Raju's house for the last journey. Preparations are underway for his last journey to Dashrathpur in Dwarka. Raju's body will be taken to Nigambodh crematorium in Delhi. Here he will be cremated with full rituals. Comedians Sunil Paul and Ehsan Qureshi have both arrived to attend Raju's last journey.
Raju's body was taken to Dasarathapuri near Dwarka yesterday. His younger brother Dipu Srivastava and elder brother CP Srivastava had reached Delhi last evening. Raju's family member told during a conversation with India Today that yesterday morning his BP became very low, after which he was given CPR but then he did not respond. The relatives also told that Raju's health was improving and his ventilator was to be removed in 2-3 days. Along with this the dosage of his medicine was also reduced.

After Raju's death, the statement of his wife Shikha Srivastava had come to the fore, in which she said that Raju fought with great courage. I was hopeful that he would be fine, I was praying for his speedy recovery. But it didn't happen. I would like to say that he was a real fighter who fought till the last minute.

Raju wanted to be a hero since childhood
Raju was born on 25 December 1963. He had a dream of becoming a hero since childhood. But after coming to Mumbai, he got the first job as an auto driver. At the same time, a ride took him to the first stage. Gave the performance, for which he got 50 rupees. Then Raju got a chance to work with Anil Kapoor in the film Tezaab. After that he worked with many celebs.
But he got real recognition from the Great Indian Laughter Challenge, where he finished third. Then he appeared in many comedy shows like Comedy Circus, Laugh India Laugh, Comedy Night with Kapil, The Kapil Sharma Show, etc. Raju has acted in a total of 17 films.
