New Delhi, Jnn. Aamir Khan's big budget film 'Lal Singh Chaddha' failed miserably at the box office. The film could not earn even half of its cost at the domestic box office. Boykoy trends are believed to be a major reason behind its becoming a disaster. Now the director of the web series 'Ashram', Prakash Jha has given his reaction on this. He also revealed whether the 'boycott' trend has really affected the film. Because most believe that this boycott culture has caused a lot of damage to the industry.

On the contrary, Prakash Jha said that if a film is good, it will work. Prakash Jha, who is promoting his upcoming film 'Matto Ki Cycle', clearly said that all this is like a wake up call for the industry. Talking to web portal Cinestaan, he said- 'They should understand that they are making nonsense. Movies cannot be made just for money, corporates and actors to pay more. There is a need to write a good story which understands and entertains you.

Prakash Jha further said, 'They should make such stories which are related to the people'. He further said, 'People of Hindi industry talk in Hindi but what are they making, only remakes?. If you don't have a story to tell, stop making films. Film makers should work hard and think that why people are not reaching the cinema houses to watch movies.
Said this thing for Lal Singh Chaddha
Gangajal director further said that this boycott culture has always been there. The only thing is that people are now using social media for this. He said- If Dangal and Lagaan had flopped, we could have understood that it was because of the boycott. But Laal Singh Chaddha is such a film which no one liked from day one. I couldn't find anyone who would say 'Wow, what a movie'.
