1. Rani Laxmi Bai –

In the north of India, there is a place named Jhansi, where the queen was Lakshmi Bai. He was born in a Maharashtrian family. Dalhousie was the governor of India at that time, he took out the rule that the British will have authority in any state in which there is no king. At that time Rani Lakshmi Bai was a widow, she had 1 adopted son Damodar. He refused to kneel before the British and waged a war against them to save his Jhansi. In March 1858, she fought with the British for two consecutive weeks, which she lost. After this she went to Gwalior where once again she fought with the British. Rani Lakshmi Bai had a special contribution in the battle of 1857. His name is taken with great respect in the freedom fighters of India.

2. Lal Bahadur Shastri

Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of independent India. Shastri ji took part in the Quit India Movement, Satyagraha Movement and Non-Cooperation Movement for the independence of the country. He was the freedom fighter of the country of India. At the time of independence, he also spent 9 years in jail. After independence, he became the Home Minister and then in 1964 the second Prime Minister. He took the front in the 1965 India-Pakistan war. He gave the slogan of "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan". He died of a sudden heart attack in 1966 when he was on a foreign tour.

3. Jawaharlal Nehru –

Today Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is known as a child. He was the freedom fighter of India. His father Motilal Nehru was a barrister and politician. In 1912, after completing his studies abroad, Nehru started working as a barrister in India. After coming in contact with Mahatma Gandhi, he jumped into the freedom struggle, and became the President of the Indian Congress. After independence, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of the country. Together with Mahatma Gandhi, he stood against the British in the freedom struggle. He had a special love for children, so even today we celebrate his birthday as Children's Day. He died in Delhi.

4. Bal Gangadhar Tilak –

“Swaraj is our birthright and we will have it.” For the first time this slogan was spoken by Bal Gangadhar Tilak ji. Bal Gangadhar Tilak was called the "Father of Indian Unrest". He founded the Deacon Education Society, where Indian culture was taught, as well as he was associated with indigenous work. Bal Gangadhar Tilak used to roam all over India and inspire people to support them in the freedom struggle. About 20 thousand people joined Mahatma Gandhi in his last journey.

5. Lala Lajpat Rai –

Lala Lajpat Rai was popularly known as Punjab Kesari Lala Lajpat Rai of the Indian National Congress was a very famous leader and freedom fighter of India. Lala Lajpat Rai was involved in the trio of Lal Bal Pal. These three were the main and famous leaders of the Congress. In 1914, he went to Britain to tell the situation of India, but due to the world war he could not return from there. When he came to India in 1920, the Jallianwala massacre took place, against which he started a movement against the British. During a movement, he was badly injured by the lathi charge of the British, after which he died.

6. Chandrashekhar Azad –

Chandrashekhar Azad was as independent as the name, he had worked to add fuel to the fire of independence. His introduction was as follows, Chandrashekhar Azad used to inspire the youth to come forward in the fight for freedom, he had raised an army of young revolutionaries. His thinking was that violence is necessary for the fight for freedom, so he used to work differently from Mahatma Gandhi. The fear of Chandrashekhar Azad was very much in the British. They had planned to rob Kakori train and looted it. Somebody gave their news to the British, due to which the British went after them to capture them. Chandrashekhar Azad did not want to die at the hands of any British, so he shot himself and became a martyr.

7. Subhas Chandra Bose –

Subhash Chandra Bose is called Netaji, he was born on 23 January 1897 in Orissa. In 1919, he went abroad for studies, then he came to know about the Jallianwala massacre there, which surprised him and returned to India in 1921. Coming to India, he joined the Indian Congress and participated in the civil disobedience movement. He found the words of non-violent Gandhi to be wrong, after which he went to Germany to seek help from Hitler. Where he organized the Indian National Army (INA). During the Second World War, Japan, which was helping the INA, surrendered, after which Netaji escaped from there. But it is said that on August 17, 1945, his plane crashed, due to which he died. The facts related to his death remain a mystery even today.

8. Mangal Pandey –

Mangal Pandey's name comes first among the freedom fighters in the history of India. From the time of the war of 1857, he started the freedom struggle and asked everyone to support it. Mangal Pandey was a soldier in the East India Company. In 1847, news spread that the gun cartridges made by the East India Company used cow fat, to operate it, the cartridge had to be pulled from the mouth, due to which the fat of the cow was in the mouth, which is a Hindu Muslim. Was against both religions. He tried to convince his company a lot, but nothing happened. He died on 8 April 1857.

9. Bhagat Singh –

The child knows the name of Bhagat Singh. Young leader Bhagat was born on 27 September 1907 in Punjab. Both his father and uncle were involved in the freedom struggle, due to which he had attachment for the country since childhood and he wanted to do something for his country since childhood. In 1921, he gave his share in the non-cooperation movement, but due to his violent nature, Bhagat left this and formed the Naujawan Bharat Sabha. Which inspired the youth of Punjab to take part in independence. Together with Chandrashekhar Azad, he did many works for independence. In 1929, he threw a bomb in Parliament to get himself caught, after which he was hanged on 23 March 1931 along with Rajguru and Sukhdev.

10. Bhimrao Ambedkar –

Born in a Dalit family, Bhimrao Ambedkar did a lot of work to end the caste system in India. Because of being a low caste, no one believed his intelligence. But he again adopted the Buddha caste and asked other low caste people to do the same, Bhimrao Ambedkar ji always explained to everyone that caste religion is not higher than humanity. We should treat everyone equally. Due to his intelligence, he became the chairman of the Constitution Committee of India. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar wrote the constitution of democratic India.

11. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel –

Indian Congress leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a lawyer. Vallabhbhai ji took part in the Civil Disobedience Movement, Quit India Movement. Vallabhbhai ji took over independent India after the independence of the country. Independent India was divided into many states where Pakistan was also separated. He explained to all the people of the country that all the monarchies would be abolished to protect the country and only one government would run the state in the whole country. At that time, the country needed such a leader who would not let it splinter by keeping it tied in a string. Even after independence, there were many problems in the country which Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had solved very well.

12. Mahatma Gandhi –

The Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was born on 2 October 1869 in Gujarat. Non-violent Mahatma Gandhi fought his freedom fight with full truth and honesty. He believed in non-violence and never gave street to any Englishman. Because of this, the British respected him a lot. Mahatma Gandhi started Satyagraha Movement, Quit India Movement, Non-Cooperation Movement, Simon Go Back, Civil Disobedience Movement and many more. He used to inspire everyone to become Swadeshi and refused to use British goods. Due to the efforts of Mahatma Gandhi, the British left the country on 15 August 1947. Nathu Ram Godse shot and killed him on 30 January 1948.

13. Sarojini Naidu –

Sarojini Naidu was a poet and social activist. She was the first woman to become the governor of India and the Indian National Congress. Sarojini Naidu was a member of the Committee for the Constitution of India. During the partition of Bengal, she came in contact with the main leaders of the country like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and then started helping in the freedom struggle. She roamed all over India and told people about freedom through her poetry and speech. The birthday of the country's main woman Sarojini Naidu is now celebrated as Women's Day.

14. Birsa Munde –

Birsa Munde was born in Ranchi in 1875. Birsa Munde did many things, even today people of Bihar and Jharkhand worship him like God and call him "Dharti Baba". He was a social worker who always used to do something for the betterment of the society. During the famine in 1894, when Birsa Munde asked the British to waive the rent, when they did not agree, Birsa Munde started the movement. 9 June 1900 Birsa Munde breathed his last at the age of just 25.

15. Ashfaqullah Khan –

Ashfaqullah Khan, who sacrificed his life for the independence of India, was a fearless, courageous and prominent freedom fighter. He was a poet of Urdu language. Ashfaqullah Khan was the main face of Kakori incident. He was born on 22 October 1900 in Uttar Pradesh. Ashfaqullah Khan of revolutionary ideology used to work completely opposite to the thinking of Mahatma Gandhi. His thinking was that it is useless to talk to the British in peace, he only hears the sound of bullets and explosions. Then together with Ram Prasad Bismil, he planned to rob the train in Kakori. He had a close friendship with Ram Prasad. On 9 August 1925, along with Ram Prasad, Ashfaqullah Khan and 8 other companions, he looted the British treasure in the train.

16. Bahadur Shah Zafar –

The name of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last ruler of the Mughal Empire, is also included in the list of freedom fighters. He played the main role in the war of 1857. Shah Zafar had khadi his huge army against the British army East India Company, and himself was the commander of his army. For this work he was called a rebel, and he was exiled to Rangoon, Bangladesh.

17. Dr. Rajendra Prasad –

18. Ram Prasad Bismil –

19. Sukhdev Thapar –

Sukhdev Thapar was one of the freedom fighters of the country, he along with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru had blown a bomb in the assembly of Delhi, and got himself arrested. Before this, his name had also surfaced for shooting a British officer. Sukhdev was also a good friend of Bhagat Singh, he was hanged along with Bhagat Singh on 23 March 1931. 20. Shivram Rajguru –

Shivram Rajguru was an accomplice of Bhagat Singh, who is mainly known for killing a police officer of the British Raj. Rajguru was completely opposed to Gandhiji's non-violent words, according to him, the British should be killed and out of his country.

21. Khudiram Bose –

Khudiram Bose has been the youngest freedom fighter. He had jumped into it in the very early stages of the freedom struggle. Due to patriotism since childhood, he had made freedom his destination. He is respected as a martyr boy. While studying in school, Khudiram had asked his teacher for his revolver so that he could kill the British. At the age of 16, he detonated a bomb in the nearby police station and government office. After 3 years of which he was arrested for its tyranny, and the death sentence was heard. When he was hanged, his age was 18 years 8 months 8 days.

22. Durgavati Devi (Durga Bhabhi) –

Durgavati Devi stood against the British Raj at a time when women in the country were not allowed to step out of the house. When Bhagat Singh runs away after killing a British officer, he goes to Durgavati for help. Durgavati travels in a train with Bhagat Singh and Rajguru, where Durgavati rescues them from the British police. Durgavati becomes the wife of Bhagat Singh, so that no one can doubt. Her husband's name was Bhagwati Charan Bohra, who along with Bhagat Singh stood in the freedom struggle. Everyone in his party used to call her Durga Bhabhi. Durgavati was also a member of Naujawan Bharat Sabha.

23. Gopal Krishna Gokhale –

25. Shaheed Udham Singh –

You must have heard about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in the year 1919, the eyewitness of that massacre was Veer Bahadur Shaheed Udham Singh ji. He saw with his own eyes the cruelty with which Dyer was responsible for this massacre, and then he resolved that 'from today onwards the only resolution of his life is Dyer's death'.
