PM Modi bows his head at Sant Ravidas temple: Ravidas Jayanti 2022 PM Narendra Modi reached Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Temple in Karol Bagh, Delhi on Wednesday morning. The PM said that Sant Ravidas dedicated his life to eliminate evils like casteism and untouchability.

New Delhi, Jnn. Ravidas Jayanti is being celebrated across the country today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Shri Guru Ravidas Vishram Dham Temple in Karol Bagh. Modi offered prayers in the temple and bowed his head. Security arrangements have been tightened in view of PM Modi's program.

Earlier, PM Modi had said on Tuesday that the PM had said that Sant Ravidas dedicated his life to eliminate evils like casteism and untouchability. The PM also said that my government has imbibed the spirit of Guru Ravidas in every step and plan.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will visit Sant Ravidas temple in Varanasi today. Rahul and Priyanka will pay obeisance at Sir Govardhanpur on Wednesday morning.

Let us tell you that Sant Ravidas ji was born on the day of Magh Purnima in Seer Gobardhangaon near Varanasi. Sant Ravidas was associated with the Bhakti movement from the 15th to the 16th century. His hymns are included in the Guru Granth Sahib.
