Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal has said that making Bhagwant Mann the CM face of the party shows the bankruptcy of the Aam Aadmi Party. AAP has struck a deal by choosing Mann as the chief ministerial candidate, as no one in Punjab was ready to lead the party.

The party has been embroiled in a controversy by posting a video (meme) prepared by Aam Aadmi Party based on the song 'Dil Da Mamal Hai Dilbar' from the film 'Hey Baby' on its Twitter handle. The party has shown Congress' Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi fighting by projecting actress Vidya Balan as the 'Chief Minister's chair' in the video. It is shown in the song that both the leaders are desperate to get the chair and in the end, Bhagwant Mann's entry is shown as if he has got the chief minister's chair.
Arvind Kejriwal and Rahul Gandhi have also been shown in this. Congress's BV Srinivas has called it shameful to show a woman as CM's chair in this video. Giving their response below the video, many people have written that the Election Commission should take cognizance of it.
