'Gabbar Singh's father played Thakur's character in Mera Gaon…
In Sholay, where Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra were seen in the role of Jai and Veeru. At the same time, Thakur's character was played by Sanjeev Kumar, who brings Jai and Veeru to Ramgarh to eliminate Gabbar Singh. This character is similar to the one played by Jayant in Mera Gaon Mera Desh. Incidentally, Jayant was the father of Amjad Khan, who played the dreaded dacoit Gabbar Singh in Sholay.
