Jamshedpur: After the twin towers of Noida, Edphis and Jet Demolition South African company will demolish the repair shop of Tata Steel's coke plant. However, the only difference between the two is that the Twin Tower was built illegally while the Repair Shop is a nearly 75 year old structure and has completed its life span.
The dilapidated coke plant was shut down
Tata Steel will close the battery number five and six of its coke plant and build a modern coke plant. It also has a repair shop with a height of 12 meters. Which has given the responsibility to Edphis Company to demolish the company in a planned manner. As per company management, the concerned company has global level of experience. Edphis Company has the experience to demolish old buildings in one place with the help of dynamite without causing any damage to nearby plants and structures.
Zamindoj will repair shop on 4th September
However, the Tata Steel management did not specify the amount of dynamite that would be used to demolish the old repair shop and the time when it would be demolished on September 4. The company management has just clarified that all necessary approvals and NOCs have been taken for the demolition of the old repair shop. Such measures are being taken to ensure safe and eco-friendly performance. In October-November, the Edifice company will also demolish a coal tower with two chimneys, about 110 meters high, out of the three closed units of the coke plant.
75 years old repair shop
The repair shop built on the north of battery number five of the coke plant is about 75 years old. Made of concrete, the roof of this repair shop is made of corrugated sheet. In this repair shop, 250 feet long and about 100 feet wide, the work of assembling and repairing spare parts was done earlier. Later departmental staff used it as a group meeting.
