Principal of BCM School, Ludhiana, Dr. Vandana Shahi will be honored with the National Award-2022. Principal Dr. Vandana Shahi says that she is being given this award for promoting new thinking and experimentation in the school as part of the effort of New Education Policy.

Jagran Correspondent, Ludhiana. On Teachers' Day on September 5, Dr. Vandana Shahi, Principal of BCM School, Dugri, Ludhiana, will be honored with the National Award-2022. President Draupadi Mumru will felicitate him along with other talented teachers from across the country at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. Of these, two teachers are from CBSE schools. Among them are Principal Vandana Shahi and a teacher from Telangana State.

Awards will be given for promoting new thinking and experimentation in the school

Principal Dr. Vandana Shahi says that she is being given this award for promoting new thinking and experimentation in the school as part of the new education policy effort. The students of his school have been selected this year under NASA's project. School student has been the winner in Startup Punjab. Not only this, the student of the school has also been a winner in Technovenza. He said that the school has an Entrepreneurship Club which gives a futuristic outlook to the children. At the same time, it makes them self-reliant and responsible citizens. Community reachable programs are going on in the school, in which women empowerment, training the staff of Sarathi Project, bringing vulnerable children on par under Reach Project, Lakshya Project are striving to uncover the hidden talents of the children.

Principal Dr. Vandana Shahi says that it is a matter of pride for her to be honored with the National Award on Teachers' Day. This honor is not for him alone but for the hard work of the entire team of his school. She will leave for Delhi on 3rd September. He will be honored by the President on Teachers' Day after the rehearsals to be held there. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Vandana has thirty years of experience in the education sector.
