The Atal Apartment Scheme in Ludhiana was brought by the then SAD-BJP government in the year 2010-11. Under this, a flat is to be constructed in Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar in 8.80 acres of land. A total of 576 flats will be built in this 12-floor residential scheme.
Jagran Correspondent, Ludhiana. There is news of big relief for the applicants of Atal Apartments Scheme of Nagar Improvement Trust. Their long wait is about to end. Now the draw of these flats will be done on June 16. This scheme has been hanging in the balance for almost 11 years. After the draw is out, people will have to wait for three years to get the flats because their construction work has not started yet. The construction of the flat will start only after the draw is out and should be completed within three years.
Now it has to be seen whether the officials of the City Improvement Trust will be able to complete the construction work of the flat within the stipulated time. Over a decade, the cost of construction material has more than doubled. In the year 2010-11, the then SAD-BJP government had come up with the Atal Apartment Scheme. It was named after former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. At that time three years were allotted to complete the project.
These flats are to be constructed in 8.80 acres of land in Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar. 12 Floors A total of 576 flats are to be constructed in this residential scheme. It will have 336 HIG and 240 MIG flats. The foundation stone of this project was laid on 16 December 2021. The last date of application was fixed by the trust till 18 December 2021. About one thousand applications have reached the trust. Its draw was to be held on 20 December 2021, but due to the election code of conduct, this draw was hanged.

The date of draw for Atal Apartments in Nagar Improvement Trust has been fixed on 16th June; Has been. The draw will be held on this day at the Nehru Siddhant Kendra. These flats will be constructed within three years. Allotment will be done only after construction is completed.
