Punjab Election 2022 The counting of votes for 117 assembly seats in Punjab will be held on March 10. Anticipation has increased due to this. The Ludhiana administration has started preparations for the counting. Training is being given to the staff to be deployed in the counting of votes.

Jagran Correspondent, Ludhiana. Punjab Election 2022: Countdown begins for counting of votes. On March 10, the fate of the candidates imprisoned in the EVMs will come out. The district administration has completed the preparations for counting of votes and now only the staff to be deployed in counting is being trained. On the other hand, the candidates also started preparing for the counting. Candidates these days are training their counting agents so that there is no malpractice during the counting of votes. For counting agents, political parties are appointing their workers who have played the role of counting agents in the past.

Counting of votes will start from 8 am on March 10. In the first phase, the ballots received through postal ballot will be counted. After that the voting done through EVM and VVPAT will be counted. In each counting center, seven tables have been set up for EVMs and seven tables for VVPATs. The administration has asked each candidate to appoint his agent for the counting of votes. Not only this, the administration has also called for the names of agents and other documents from the candidates so that passes can be issued to them for counting of votes. The administration has already clarified that only authorized agents will be allowed inside the counting center.

In fact, during the counting of votes, the agents of the candidates note down the data emanating from the EVMs. At the end of each round, the table in-charge telegraphs the votes with the agents of the candidates. So that later there will be no mistake. At the end of the round, if there is a difference in the votes, the agents get a fresh count done. That's why the candidates are hiring their smart workers for the counting. BJP candidate from Halka North Praveen Bansal said that workers are being prepared for counting of votes. Administration and candidates are busy in their preparations at their own level.
