Ludhiana Coronavirus Update On Friday, 72 new cases were reported in Ludhiana district after 12 days. These cases have come under the scrutiny of 1610 samples whereas in October, less than 50 cases were being investigated in three to four thousand samples.
Ludhiana, Corona cases are slowly increasing in the district. From the second week of October to the last week, between 25 and 50 cases were reported daily. Now this figure has started increasing. On Friday, 12 new cases came to the district 12 days later. There have been so many cases in the investigation of 1610 samples, whereas in October, less than 50 cases were being investigated in three to four thousand samples. It is clear that the sample positivity rate in the district has increased now. However, top officials of the health department of the district are claiming that the sample positivity rate has come down.

At the same time, it is also a matter of concern that active cases have now increased to 562 in the district. The number of active patients had come down to 230 a week earlier. At the same time, the figure of positive people has reached 20657. Out of this, 19248 patients have become healthy. Currently, the recovery rate is falling to 93.17 percent. However, in October this rate had reached 96 percent.
Some health department officials say that the way people have started taking Corona lightly, the number of new cases will increase gradually. There is also concern as to how the corona will look in winter, as several studies have found that corona infection is more common in winter. During this time the flu also spreads.

Corona did not die on friday
No corona infected died in any hospital in the district on Friday. It has been a relief. However, nine patients are on ventilators in different hospitals of the city. Five of these patients are from other districts and four from Ludhiana.OPD can start in civil hospital from Monday
According to health department officials, OPD can start in the civil hospital from Monday. SMO Dr Amarjeet Kaur says that all arrangements have been made regarding OPD. Now only the approval of the higher officials of the Health Department is awaited. Then shift from ESIC Hospital to OPD Civil Hospital. However the department is also monitoring new cases of Corona. If matters suddenly increase, the decision to start OPD will be reconsidered.
